Charity Events / Giving Back

Merv has participated in a variety of Social and Charity based organizations including The Wounded Warrior Project, Georgia Kidney Foundation, CURE Childhood Cancer, Atlanta Pet Rescue, Pet Assistants and local youth mentoring programs for inner city children.  He currently serves on the Governing Board for HEAL Inc. which provides medical, nutritional, mental health services in lower income communities.



Emerald Wealth Management hosted a Jan. 24 fundraiser for CUREChildhood Cancer at Kolo Collection’s Westside showroom. The event raised more than $14,000 for CURE, dedicated to research, education and support of young cancer patients and their families. Info: www.curechildhoodcancer.org.

Guests enjoyed a spread from Chef Tim Williams’ of Dantannas Surf and Turf while bidding on silent auction and raffle items that included floor seats for a Hawks game, a week in a Tuscan Villa, Masters tickets, and jewelry from Solomon Brothers.

More than 150 people attended, including Mark Aycock, CFO of Emory Hospital; Dr. Angelo Galante of Georgia Tech Sports Medicine, Roger and Lisa Davenport, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Phillips, Kolo Collection Owners; Michelle and Greg Martin; and Solomon Brothers’ general manager Robert Alexander and wife Susan, Dantannas owner's David and Beth Clapp, Attorney Joe Chancey.

Mervaritaville Charity Event 2009

Emerald Wealth Management, LLC hosted a luau fundraising event which raised money to support Sheila's Salsa and HEALing Community Center.  Clients and partners of Emerald Wealth Management attended the event to help support this great cause, while enjoying and evening of great food and dancing.

JV Outreach is giving any child in the Metro Atlanta area, who wants to dance, the opportunity to dance.  Confidence and decipline learned through dance opens doors to college education, careers and futures full of possibilies.

Hometown 401k® Rollout Event 2011
